What better to do on a day stuck inside with the wintery blast of air conditioning on your skin than to get festive. I know there are "rules" about what date to put your tree up, but we are not really a rules kind of family.

Actually I was the only one excited about putting it up, the older boys were in a LEGO trance and Elijah was intent on eating the sparkly decorations. The most exciting bit was getting out the musical Santa and Mrs. Claus, Elijah loved them...except for Mrs. Claus, he had some strange vendetta against her and kept on issuing a beat down order on her. Perhaps he was speaking out for repressed elves.

We made a little movie about Cat care...apparently. There is a lot of giggling, fisti-cuffs, baby noise and the constant sound of "mum, mum, mum" in the background coming from a wee man in some kind of desperate situation. Hopefully our next production can have less audio disturbance.

We had an impromptu picnic under the shade of this amazing tree, right in our own back yard.
It provides us with a beautiful view from our schooling room and is full of inspiring birdlife.

Elijah has started doing The Cutest Thing Ever,
standing beside the bed and ducking down out of sight until you say "Where's Elijah?" then he pops up and laughs and laughs. Be still my yearning uterus.

Today is the birthday of my dearly missed Nanna Grace, tonight we will blow out a candle for her and remember her joyous life.
Thanks for looking over my little family, giving us blue skies and butterflies and reminding me to breathe. We miss you.
