Usually when presented with a rainy day most parents heave an inward sigh and suffer through 8 hours of crazy inside play which really would have been better off outside, however today I had a stroke of genius...
I wrote a list of fun things we could do on this rainy day and posted the list under the bedroom door of each child with a request that they tick the ideas they thought were fun and add any ideas of their own.
Well, both boys wanted to do EVERYTHING on the list. Goodbye cranky, crazy rainy day and Hello to a fun filled day of house arrest.
We baked a delicious chocolate cake, stamped with a long forgotten box of stamps, played monopoly in the precious moments while a baby napped on my back, built lego superstructures, tried out a bargain badge making kit we had stashed away and best of all was my drive in(side) movie.

Love the drive in idea! Too cute! We had a pretty much all day movie a-thon. Reading, eating and Yugioh tournaments in between! Very lazy day!
