So the holiday season is over for another year...and a New Year started somewhere back there while I was tucked up in bed.
We took a more relaxed approach to Christmas this year and just relaxed, tried out the new surfboards at the beach and had an early turkey dinner. Apart from Akira opening almost every single present before we could get up the day was pretty chilled.
New Years involved the boys taking a glow stick to bed and me snoozing away while the mister played xbox. Rock on!!
Continuing on in the tradition of great things we have eased into another year of learning to allow for a post-baby break.
We did take a great break though which involved visits from our not so near and dear ones. Pop provided the brains and brawn necessary to help the Dadda erect "Castle Della Swingset" whilst Nanny introduced a certain young rockstar to the Ukulele.
Both boys are loving the dips in the sea as is the Mumma and lavender foot soaks are becoming a nightly pre-bedtime ritual for all.
******HOW COULD I FORGET????
AKIRA IS READING!!! He just put all those small pieces together and is now delighting in reading everything he can get his hands on...my heart is so full of joy and pride.
Yesterday involved some explosions-all totally legal and for the purpose of learning as we set off our home-made volcanoes; over and over and over again! They were just that much fun.
We are all waiting oh so patiently for this wee one to arrive; sometimes not so patient but as Akira informs everyone...Babies come when they are ready and if you are impatient they won't want to come at all.
**Let that be a fore-warning for anyone who plans to ring/txt/email/telepathically connect to me with baby arrival demands**
Much love and New Year Cheer to all; and a HUGE thankyou for all the festive goodies that were bestowed upon us.
We hope you are enjoying the home-made gifts from us.
