Trying to write something to send the BOS is proving to take a long time when Eli is dragging me by the hand very enthusiastically to show me just how awesome this vacuum cleaner thing is....ah, yep. I've used it once or twice before!!
We are having a kind of poor month while we pay for the custom made wooden blinds we ordered but the upside has definitely been using up all the stuff sitting in the freezer and cupboard. It was a surprise to see we had enough stuff for dinners for nearly a month!! On tonight's menu is Potato and Rocket soup with some breadrolls we had stashed in the freezer.
I channelled Martha Stewart yesterday and stewed up heaps of cheap apples with cinnamon and sugar to freeze for pies and muffins, whipped up some banana bread with our frozen ripe bananas and turned the 99c punnet of strawberries into delicious mini muffins....all with a baby sleeping on my back, c'mon admit it...even Martha hasn't got that part down!!
We've had some visits from family from both sides which everyone has enjoyed, made a start on some edible gardens, spent alot of time on the lakeside bicycle track-so much so Linkin's trike is broken :( and had fun writing our own newspaper stories-although I did have to explain the concept of defamation to Akira after his wildy inaccurate story on me!!

It is amazing how many meals you can make when it seems like there is nothing to eat hey? I am now at the point where I really cannot put it off. I will have to go shopping! Yikes! I thought I was covered when I picked a huge bowl of chillie from the garden today only to find I had no oil to cook it with. Not even a tea spoon. :-(
The strawberry muffins sound yummy. I love the baby on your back bit too!!
That's adorable and I wish I'd known attachment parenting when my kids were born. I'm making up for it now, with lots of love and hugs and HEAVY carrying!
:) Vanessa
