Holiday Happy Snaps

We survived our first proper camping trip with minimal fuss.
With truck and trailer we trekked to the National Park at Durras North, near Batemans Bay. The holiday park was great, the camping sites pretty "genuine" and the wildlife unreal!!

We hung out at the beach, braved the mosquito-ridden bushwalk and papa and the older boys picked up a fishing rod together for the first time.

There was heaps to do in nearby Batemans Bay. The best mini golf course EVER, apparently we are going back for Linkin's birthday ;) Great parks near the water-we met an awesome swedish guy in one park who is cycling around Oz.

A bit further on we visited the regional Botanic Gardens where they only plant local natives and rely on the work of 150 volunteers to keep it going. It was beautiful and there was a fantastic kid's walk with a list of things to see and tick off.

We safari-ed to Mogo Zoo and everyone loved seeing all the exotic animals. My favourite was the Servals and I think the boys loved the Otters and the Meerkats.

Next up was a visit to Old Mogo Town where we learnt heaps about Gold Mining and even panned for some gold...we found a few specks-not enough to buy that beachfront shack we had our eye on!!

We also enjoyed just hanging out around the campsite. The boys collecting twigs for the fire, Eli getting his nude on a'la nature style and papa and I having a sneaky beer :)

We hardly got any rain~despite grim warnings from the camping haters out there!! and we'll definitely go back next year!

I've heard good things about Mogo - will definitely have to visit one day. BTW I love meerkats :)
