I feel we are finally starting to mesh with the community here; such an important part of the homeschooling journey.
The librarians know us and encourage and nurture Akira without speaking down to him or discouraging him from more advanced learning. They recognise where his interests lie and the high level of ability he has.
We have friendly smiling faces at all our "regular" haunts where Akira and Linkin chat about their latest adventures and hear about other people's lives.
It makes such a difference to feel a connection rather than the mass of blank forward staring faces I came across so regularly in Sydney.
We are all building a beautiful relationship with our midwife. Akira helps out when she checks me and the babe out and most importantly she has time for ALL of us.
This week I am thankful for "The Village"; helping me to raise beautiful, balanced and kind boys when my own tribe is scattered far and wide.
