Christmas Eve 2007 and the New Year

Today is Christmas Eve and we are all excited, Akira is just plain OVER the whole waiting thing.

Shortly we will be rolling out our biscuit dough to make some gluten free cookies for Santa and Akira decided Rice milk would be best for Santa this year.

Dad is bringing home some carrots for the Reindeer and all of Santa's other tasks are complete!

We have had so much fun this year decorating the house
and exploring a "white christmas". We have a faux fireplace, snowy windows, paper chains, snowflakes and a christmas village; not to mention the polar express train we will be eating our lunch in.

I'm looking forward to beginning our own family traditions tomorrow and although it would be lovely to be with all our extended family tomorrow, I must admit we are loving the fact we aren't travelling anywhere!

We are also looking forward to the New Year and all the challenges and triumphs it will bring. Akira has already made such great progress with his writing since we began to trial homeschooling that I know he will bloom amazingly with the new curriculum.

I hope that family and friends alike will enjoy reading this blog and that it will soothe any of their worries about our decision and bring them closer to our amazing family.

Here's to 2008 :)

Lots of Holiday Hugs from Marissa, Anthony, Akira and Linkin xxx
