Holiday Style Learning

Papa brought home some railway sleepers from work so we got busy making garden beds and acually finished a job for a change!!

The above one is our edibles; usual herbs and some cucumber, carrot, tomatoes and lettuce. Some look a little sick from being transported from another bed but I'm sure they'll be ok with some TLC.

We put the kids to work helping after they spent the previous day nerding on their xbox/ipod/wii for most of the day.

Another project we have finished with some team work...

Our neighbours from across the road gave us this cubby so I thought the kids would enjoy painting it.

The front deck will require some mending after some enhusiastic painting but overall they love it and have moved the toy kitchen in and used it as a clubhouse.

I painted two murals, the front sun/cloud combo and the side solar system.
The kids worked on the back, experimenting with different brushes, body parts, colour combinations etc.

Here's our most exciting holiday learning though, Meet Moo :)

He is our new puppy which of course means lots of learning. He is loads of fun and apart from his toddler like tendency to poop in the corner we are loving him to bits!!

Looks like some serious nerding going on there! Love that focused expression! Moo is adorable! Reminds me of our old Maxi!
